The North Atlantic Salmon Fund (NASF) has been a leading force in salmon conservation for more than 30 years. Founded by conservation-pioneer Orri Vigfússon in Reykjavik, Iceland. NASF‘s aim is to tackle the main threats facing wild Atlantic Salmon and bring salmon stocks back to their historic abundance.
NASF projects include high seas net-buyouts in Greenland and Faroe Islands, campaigning efforts against open net pen salmon farming, local buyouts of unsustainable fisheries and protection of habitat for salmon.
